Apple vs Samsung on Facebook

Written: by: Bradley Braganza

Darkness fast approaches and the whole world is waiting for the next big arrival of the two
largest icons to make their next appearance...of course I'm talking about Smartphone companies,         Apple and Samsung! What else?

APPLE VS SAMSUNG ON FACEBOOK: DAWN OF JUSTICE

How often does each brand post? Both powerhouse companies post very frequently on Facebook and do a very good job keeping audiences engaged and updated with the message that the company wishes to be heard. The difference however is in the frequency at which each company posts on their respective social media sites and the content and imagery that they produce.

Apple, posts very frequently with at least 1 post every day or every other day (usually some kind of imagery containing a promotion, advertisement or experience of a customer with one of their products), gaps in their post frequency from what can be seen is no longer than 5 days, meaning, that each and every day Apple is keeping consumers interested and engaged, and apart of the actions of the company. What this does is it gives people the ability to feel connected with the corporation and have it seem like the company is a living breathing entity that is full of life and thought and love. And these are some of the emotions that are definitely evoked when discussing it with people. This is not to suggest however that the company is without flaw. Often, people post inappropriate and slanderous comments on the company website which then litters the comments section with more hateful comments and displeasure. Sometimes these comments are directed at the company and other times it is directed at other individuals on the website.
S
The same engagement and driction occurs for Samsung on their corporate Facebook website, however, they on the other hand, use a lot of images and video content on their Facebook
website, where they usually depict most of their products and their functions and features
The Samsung corporate mobile website offers consumers an opportunity to get more familiar with the company and all of their actions as well as their current viewers the chance to engage and see what the corporation is currently doing on social media. Currently what the corporation is choosing to focus on is the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone and its compatibility with the new Virtual Reality (VR) headset. In Samsung's latest video, they talk about how they are listening to their consumers and how they have made strides to provide consumers with everything that they desire and look for in a new premium smartphone including: design, ergonomically friendly, storage, improved camera, and waterproof protection to name a few.

The question is, however, who does a better job at engaging their customers on a regular basis and who has more engagement with their users? While Apple operates on their Facebook with limited transparency, Samsung does a much better job at engaging with consumers and answering questions. Their posts receive a lot of more Likes and comments and they definitely do a much more effective job at dealing with situations a lot better than Apple in my opinion. But in the end, Batman and Superman, despite their differences, eventually team up to battle a greater evil and a great threat. The question is, for Apple and Samsung, will that day ever come and when it does, whoever the major corporate threat is, will these two companies partner together to relinquish this evil threat or will it lead to a global takeover of the smartphone industry? "Alright alright, alas, I  digress. I hope you all enjoyed the read, much love to those readers who made it to the bottom of this article and I hope you enjoyed it, it was for an assignment. "
