When trying to target the younger demographic Instagram is the go to social media platform when trying to target the 18 - 29 demographics. But the question this blog post seeks to answer is which smartphone brand uses Instagram most effectively to reach the younger audience
Looking at the last 5 posts on LG’s Instagram page, LG has adopted the strategy where they show their target audience the types of pictures that you can take with an LG G5. The first few pictures on LG’s Instagram page are images of architecture, and scenery and one promotion piece for a removable battery. Where LG main success with their Instagram page is their ability to post daily. In the first 7 posts, LG posts at leave once a day with only one day containing two posts.
Similar things can be said when reviewing Sony’s Instagram page except for the focus of the images and the frequency of posts. Sony’s images posted to Instagram show their target audience what they could take photos of but unlike LG most picture have a Sony phone in the image in some capacity. The second major difference is the frequency at which they post, sony seems to post more content in the same time frame, for example the first three posts on their Instagram page where posted on the same day.
